US President Donald Trump has described American military operations against Iran as “highly successful,” claiming that Iran’s armed forces suffered significant damage. Speaking on Monday, Trump said: “We have severely weakened their military and will not allow them to gain access to nuclear weapons.” He added that the United States had achieved significant results in Iran. Trump said he was not seeking to overthrow Iran’s government, but instead wanted to reach a final agreement with Tehran. He also claimed that the US Navy had imposed a strong blockade on Iran and that no vessel had been able to break it. The US president warned that Washington could increase pressure on Iran’s energy infrastructure if necessary, including targeting major power facilities. However, he said he did not want to harm Iran’s 91 million people.
