Three armed men on a motorcycle opened fire at a vehicle belonging to Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai on Sunday evening, police said. Shroff escaped unharmed, but his driver and another person were injured in the attack.
A criminal gang linked to Lawrence Bishnoi has claimed responsibility for the shooting. In a message attributed to the gang, Bollywood actors were warned that they could face further attacks if they continued working with Salman Khan, one of India’s biggest film stars.
Mumbai police have launched an investigation to identify the attackers and establish the motive behind the shooting. However, the authenticity of the message and the alleged link between the attackers and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have not been independently verified.
