Afghanistan Freedom Front Claims Attack on Taliban Headquarters in Takhar

The Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) has claimed responsibility for an attack on the Taliban police headquarters in Chah Ab district of Takhar province on Sunday night. According to a statement issued by the group, its fighters initially launched several rockets at the police headquarters building and then continued the assault using light weapons against Taliban forces stationed there. The statement said that the clash between the two sides lasted for approximately thirty minutes, after which AFF fighters withdrew from the area. The Afghanistan Freedom Front claimed that the attack inflicted heavy human and material losses on the Taliban and that at least three Taliban fighters were seen dead at the scene. The Taliban have not yet commented on the claim, and independent sources have not verified it.
