Israel has launched a broad wave of air strikes across Lebanon despite the extension of the ceasefire, and has issued evacuation warnings for residents of nine villages in southern Lebanon. According to the BBC, the continued bombardment has raised doubts over the durability of the ceasefire among tens of thousands of Lebanese who have fled their homes in the south. On Saturday, dozens of villages were reportedly targeted, including an area more than 50 kilometres from the border. Reports also said a new wave of residents had moved towards the southern city of Sidon and the capital, Beirut. Hezbollah had earlier warned against the continuation of Israeli attacks and occupation. Recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon have left thousands dead and displaced tens of thousands of people.
