An American journalist abducted in Baghdad has been released, according to Kataib Hezbollah and confirmed by U.S. officials. Agence France-Presse reported that Shally Kitleson was freed one week after her kidnapping, on the condition that she immediately leave Iraq. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington is relieved and is working to ensure her safe exit. The release came just hours before Iran and the United States agreed to a ceasefire after more than a month of conflict. In a separate development, Emmanuel Macron announced that two French nationals detained in Iran for over three years have also been released.
