Taliban military officials in Kunar province say that nearly 500 rocket attacks have been carried out from Pakistan into various parts of the province over the past 24 hours. Farid Dehqan, spokesperson for the Taliban police command in Kunar, told the Taliban-controlled Bakhtar News Agency that during this period, 478 artillery rounds were fired by Pakistan into residential areas across five districts as well as the provincial center. He added that as a result of these attacks, two children were injured and local residents also suffered heavy financial losses. Local authorities have not yet provided further details regarding the extent of the damage or possible responses to the shelling.
