KABUL – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that preventing militant groups from using Afghan territory to launch attacks could create significant opportunities for regional trade, connectivity and economic development. Dar made the remarks on Thursday during an official meeting, emphasising that if Afghanistan does not allow its soil to be used as a source of instability against other countries, the entire region would benefit. He added that maintaining regional security and stability was a fundamental prerequisite for economic growth and the opening of trade routes, and that Pakistan stood ready to cooperate with Afghanistan and other regional partners in this regard.
