US President Donald Trump has said that Washington could soon target Iran’s underground “Kolang Mountain” facility, located near the Natanz nuclear site in Isfahan. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said the United States did not have confirmed intelligence that Iran had moved centrifuges to the underground complex, but that the possibility was being considered. He said Washington’s main focus was on Iran’s nuclear materials rather than centrifuges alone. Trump also claimed that Tehran was seeking talks with the United States, but said Washington was not interested in a meeting unless Iran was prepared for what he described as “meaningful negotiations.” The “Kolang Mountain” site has drawn international attention due to the construction of deep underground tunnels in recent years and its proximity to Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities at Natanz.
