The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says at least 30 incidents involving restrictions or interference with humanitarian operations were recorded in Afghanistan over the past month.

According to the OCHA report, 16 incidents involved restrictions on humanitarian access, while 12 were linked to violence or interference involving aid workers, humanitarian facilities or assets. Two other incidents involved restrictions on the movement of humanitarian personnel.

The United Nations said most of the reported incidents occurred in southern and western parts of Afghanistan. OCHA also said the restrictions had significant operational consequences, including the temporary suspension of a number of humanitarian programmes.
