The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that it has completed the eighth wave of strikes against Iran, which began overnight. In a statement, CENTCOM said the latest strikes targeted Iran’s coastal surveillance facilities, military air defence systems, naval capabilities, and storage sites for missiles and drones. The command also said that Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces, which it accused of carrying out attacks against US personnel in Jordan, were among the targets of the latest operations. Meanwhile, Iranian media have reported multiple explosions in Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Qeshm Island and Shadگان city. However, no official details have so far been released regarding casualties or the extent of damage to infrastructure. United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said the operations were part of its ongoing response to threats against American forces in the region.
