US President Donald Trump has said the agreement signed to end the conflict with Iran is “over” and insisted that Washington no longer intends to engage in talks or negotiations with Tehran. Speaking on the sidelines of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit on Wednesday, Trump described Iran’s leaders as “sick people” and said the previous agreement no longer holds any value. He added that further negotiations with the Iranian government are no longer on his administration’s agenda. Trump’s remarks come as tensions between Washington and Tehran remain high, with the prospects for any renewed diplomatic engagement between the two countries remaining uncertain.
