Afghanistan’s Taliban-led Foreign Ministry has claimed it delivered 530 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza via Egypt’s Rafah crossing. Deputy spokesperson Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal said the aid was sent under orders from Prime Minister Mullah Hassan Akhund. The shipment reportedly included 42 trucks carrying food, clothing, and essential supplies, valued at $500,000, and intended for around 22,000 families. The Taliban said the aid was procured in Egypt and then transported into Gaza, reaffirming their support for the Palestinian people. The announcement comes as the United Nations estimates that around 22 million people in Afghanistan are in need of humanitarian assistance.
