KABUL: Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has expressed that Tashkent is interested in strategic cooperation with Kabul. This message was conveyed by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Energy, Jurabek Mirzamuhammedov, during the International Energy Conference held in Kabul. Shafiq Azim, the head of economic relations at the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry, quoted Uzbekistan’s Energy Minister, expressing his pleasure at participating in a meeting that aims to sow the seeds for Afghanistan’s economic growth and energy production. The Afghan Electricity Company initiated this two-day international conference, which focuses on supporting the electricity sector and attracting investment, featuring representatives from foreign countries, the private sector, and national and international investors.
