Uzbek delegation arrives in Kabul to sign electricity project agreements

KABUL: Jurabek Mirzamukhamedov, the Energy Minister of Uzbekistan, and Ismatullah Irgashev, the country’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, arrived in Kabul on Sunday, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat said in a statement. During their initial official meetings, they engaged with Ahmad Jan Bilal, General Director of Taliban state-run corporations, and Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, Executive Director of Breshna Company. According to the statement, contracts for four significant electricity projects are set to be signed between representatives of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. The projects are being presented as a step toward developing the electricity network in the country. Both Afghan and Uzbek officials have expressed hope that these collaborations will strengthen economic relations and expand bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
