The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Denmark has reopened its embassy in Tehran after more than three months of temporary closure. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ministry said: “Given the improvement in the security situation in Iran, Denmark’s embassy in Tehran is resuming its operations.” According to the statement, the Danish ambassador to Iran began working from the embassy premises on 19 June, with a gradual resumption of full diplomatic services currently underway. Denmark temporarily closed its embassy in Tehran in March last year amid heightened regional tensions and security concerns. Separately, reports indicate that the Italian embassy in Tehran, which had also been closed for more than three months for similar reasons, has recently resumed operations.
