White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has said that President Donald Trump will “never sign a deal that is not in the interest of U.S. national security,” in an interview with the U.S. news network Fox News. Leavitt stated that the president’s policies are consistently guided by the “America First” doctrine, adding that Trump prioritizes the interests of the United States above all else. During the interview, she also highlighted what she described as “growing momentum toward a potential agreement with Iran,” while noting that the Trump administration’s pressure campaign on Tehran is “yielding results.” Fox News, in a post on X, the remarks reflect the White House’s position that renewed diplomatic efforts are evidence of the effectiveness of Trump’s approach toward Iran.
