An aircraft belonging to Ariana Afghan Airlines made an emergency landing at Kabul International Airport after veering off the runway, the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation under the Taliban administration said. The ministry’s spokesperson, Hekmatullah Asifi, said on Wednesday 25 March that according to preliminary information, there were no casualties in the incident and all passengers and crew were safe. He added that such incidents occasionally occur in the aviation sector and described the incident as a routine occurrence. He also said that an investigation into the circumstances of the incident is still ongoing.
