KABUL: OpenAI on Thursday, unveiled the next generation of ChatGPT, named “ChatGPT-5.” This advanced version boasts enhanced capabilities such as stronger reasoning, task automation, and more precise coding, and it is available to users for free. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, described this version as a “model with general intelligence,” stating that ChatGPT-5 offers a conversational experience similar to interacting with a PhD-level expert, whereas the previous version felt more like talking to a student. ChatGPT-5 also features “Vibe-Coding,” which allows it to create software applications based on user requests. This announcement came as OpenAI revealed that the U.S. government could use a business-specific version for one year at the cost of just one dollar. Altman emphasized that there is still a long way to go to achieve human-like general artificial intelligence. Currently, statistics show that at least 700 million people use ChatGPT weekly.
