Iceland’s foreign minister has criticised leaders who refuse to negotiate for what he described as a “just and lasting peace”.
Speaking at the United Nations, he said “moral cowards” were those who prevented people in need from receiving humanitarian aid and leaders of countries that repeatedly acted in breach of international law.
He also warned that the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East should not lead to other global crises being overlooked.
