Pakistan has rejected allegations by Afghanistan’s Defence Ministry that Pakistani forces or intelligence agencies supported fighters who crossed into Nuristan.
Islamabad said it had no involvement in the reported clashes and denied recruiting, training or facilitating former Afghan security personnel or militant groups.
The dispute comes amid renewed tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, following Pakistani air strikes inside Afghanistan earlier this month.
