The UN mission in Afghanistan, Unama, has confirmed that at least three civilians, including a man, a woman and a girl, were killed in air strikes in Kunar province.
Four other people were injured in the strikes, which took place in the early hours of 21 September, according to Unama.
Afghan authorities said a house in Kunar was hit, killing three members of the same family. Two locations in Barmal district of neighbouring Paktika province were also reportedly hit.
Pakistan has acknowledged carrying out strikes in Kunar and Paktika, saying it targeted militant positions. Pakistani officials have claimed that 28 militants were killed, although that figure has not been independently verified.
Unama has called for the protection of civilians and respect for international humanitarian law during armed conflicts.
