The office of Iraq Prime Minister Ali Zeidi has condemned drone attacks on Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, describing them as a violation of Iraq’s airspace. The statement followed reports of several explosions overnight after multiple drones were brought down in different parts of Erbil, including near the US consulate. Without identifying those responsible, Zeidi said security agencies had been instructed to work with Kurdistan Region security forces to prevent further attacks and safeguard Iraq’s security.
