Kabul — Afghanistan’s Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation has announced that 147 Afghan migrants have been released from prisons in Pakistan and returned to Afghanistan after being detained for lacking legal residency documents. According to the ministry, 125 individuals returned through the Torkham border crossing, while the remaining 22 crossed back via the Spin Boldak crossing. Officials said the returnees had been held in different detention facilities across Pakistan before their release and repatriation. The ministry did not provide further details on the duration of their detention or any legal proceedings related to their cases.
