President Donald Trump has said that Iran’s stockpiles of enriched uranium should be transferred to the United States as part of a proposed agreement between Washington and Tehran. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said the United States would take control of the material, adding: “We will have it.” He also said there was a possibility of reaching an agreement with Iran before his planned visit to China next week. According to Trump, the transfer of Iran’s enriched uranium is one of the key conditions within the framework of the proposed deal between the two sides. Responding to questions about media reports, he said such a transfer “could be” part of the final agreement. The US president added that the chances of reaching an agreement with Iran were “very high,” but warned that Washington still had military options on the table if negotiations failed. Trump also warned that if Iran rejected the US proposal, “more severe attacks” would be carried out against the country.
