Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, said the recent Iran–US agreement is fully aligned with Iran’s interests and its outcomes will be announced publicly soon. He noted a shift in US rhetoric, saying Donald Trump has recently referred to issues he once opposed as rights of the Iranian people. He also announced the return of $6 billion of Iran’s frozen assets held in Qatar. Pezeshkian described Benjamin Netanyahu as the main opponent of the talks, arguing this reflects progress in securing Iran’s interests. Regarding nuclear issues, he said the only US concern was Iran not pursuing nuclear weapons, a stance he said Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has repeatedly affirmed. He added that this position was formally recorded and signed.
