Local sources in Badakhshan report that four people have lost their lives following an avalanche in the Kuf Ab district of the province. According to Ehsanullah Kamgar, spokesperson for the Taliban police in Badakhshan, the victims were residents of Chashma Dara Shakhru village in Kuf Ab district. They were traveling to Raghistan district for labor work when they were caught in an avalanche along the route. The incident occurred in the “Aqoba Shal” area, located on the border between Kuf Ab and Raghistan districts. Mawlawi Abdul Jalil Sediqi, deputy and acting head of the Kuf Ab district police command, stated that the incident took place three days ago. However, the bodies of the victims were recovered today from beneath the snow and have been handed over to their families.
