Ongoing face-to-face talks between Iran and the United States have entered a technical phase, according to emerging reports. A Pakistani source told Reuters that the U.S. delegation, led by JD Vance, includes the president’s special envoy and Jared Kushner. The Iranian delegation is headed by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and includes the country’s foreign minister. At the same time, Iranian sources told CNN that the talks are being held directly on Saturday. Earlier, a U.S. official and a regional source had indicated that the process could proceed simultaneously through both direct and indirect channels. Meanwhile, Fars News Agency reported that the Islamabad talks have moved into a technical stage, with members of specialised committees from the Iranian delegation dispatched to continue discussions. Sources also told Tasnim News Agency that the talks could be extended into the following day.
