TEHRAN: An explosion in a residential complex in Bandar Abbas has resulted in one fatality and 14 injuries. The incident occurred on Saturday, in the center of Hormozgan province, although the exact cause of the explosion has not yet been disclosed. Reports indicate that the explosion led to the destruction of two floors of the building and caused parts of its facade to collapse. Additionally, several parked cars in the vicinity of the explosion were damaged, and a nearby commercial unit sustained significant damage. Following the incident, some media outlets reported that the target of the explosion was Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, the commander of the IRGC Navy; however, Tasnim News Agency refuted these claims. The governor of Hormozgan confirmed the occurrence of the explosion but has not released any details regarding its cause or the extent of casualties. This explosion took place just one day after a warning from the United States to the IRGC regarding dangerous actions in the Strait of Hormuz.
