PAROON: Local sources in Nuristan province report that two individuals were shot dead by “unknown armed men” in the Mandol district. The incident occurred around 3:00 PM yesterday in the village of Koipusht. The victims have been identified as Gul Rahman and Abdul Wahab. Reports indicate that Abdul Wahab was a resident of Kabul and had come to visit his ancestral village. The motive behind the killings remains unclear, and the assailants have successfully fled the area. Local Taliban officials in Nuristan have not yet commented on the incident. Since the Taliban regained power, there has been an increase in killings across various provinces, with many of these incidents attributed to “unknown armed men.” The Taliban rarely provides information on identifying and punishing these individuals.
