ACB and National Team Players call for urgent assistance for earthquake victims

KABUL: The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) and national team players Rashid Khan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Naveen-ul-Haq, and many others, have expressed their condolences to the families affected by last night’s earthquake and have called on the government, humanitarian organizations, and businesses for urgent assistance. Rashid Khan stated on his Facebook page: “I am saddened to hear that the earthquake has caused personal and financial losses to our countrymen in Kunar and other parts of the country. I pray for the affected families and urge the wealthy and all citizens to support their fellow countrymen in this difficult time. May Allah have mercy.” The Afghanistan Cricket Board added, “Unfortunately, many of our fellow citizens have lost their lives and been injured in this incident, and it truly is a great tragedy. The Board shares in the sorrow of the families affected in Kunar and all eastern provinces during these challenging times and extends its condolences and sympathy to all.” The Cricket Board also called on all national investors, businesses, and the wealthy to assist the affected families in Kunar and the eastern provinces during this difficult situation. Last night, the eastern provinces of Afghanistan were shaken by severe earthquake tremors, resulting in significant casualties in Kunar. It is reported that the earthquake’s shocks were felt in the capital, Kabul, and even in some areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
