KABUL: Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, during his stay in China stated that the Taliban supports the “Belt and Road” initiative and is ready to expand economic cooperation with China, according to a statement from his office.
Mawlavi Hanafi and his accompanying delegation were warmly welcomed by Chinese officials upon their arrival in China.
They met with Wang Dongming, Sun Weidong, and several Chinese investors.
Wang Dongming expressed his satisfaction with the Taliban’s achievements in various fields, noting that China and Afghanistan are good neighbors with strong relations.
Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi emphasized that the Taliban supports the “Belt and Road” initiative and aims to develop cooperation in various sectors.
Chinese investors have shown interest in investing in different sectors of Afghanistan and are seeking collaboration with the Taliban in this regard. Hanafi also highlighted Afghanistan’s investment opportunities and assured that the Taliban will provide the necessary facilities for traders and investors.
