Ahmad Wali Hotak to compete with his Dagestani rival after long break

KABUL: Afghan free-fight athlete Ahmad Wali Hotak has announced that he will compete against his Dagestani rival on June 27, marking his return to the ring after a lengthy break.

On his Facebook page, Hotak wrote: “After a long pause, I am stepping back into the arena. I am ready for a successful effort against a strong Dagestani competitor in an international series named ‘Proud Afghanistan.’ Your support and prayers make the journey to victory easier for me.”

The match between Hotak and his Dagestani rival is set to take place in Belarus on June 27.

Reports indicate that Ahmad Wali Hotak has previously participated in 11 matches, winning 10 and losing one. Since 2022, he has not competed in any international events.
