KABUL: The Taliban’s Statistics and Information Authority has reported that over 5,078 foreign nationals have entered and exited Afghanistan through airports and land borders in the first two months of the current year (1404).
The recorded figures indicate that 2,658 foreign individuals, including 119 women, have arrived in the country, while 2,393, including 67 women, have departed.
According to the source, 2,618 people entered Afghanistan through land borders, with 40 arriving by air.
Among these, 352 came to visit the country’s ancient and historical sites, while the remainder arrived for work purposes.
The data reveals that the majority of foreign visitors 1,820, entered through the Nimroz border, followed by 577 through the Herat border, with others arriving via the airports in Balkh and Kandahar, as well as the Torkham, Spin Boldak, and Agina borders in Faryab.
