Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Iran’s nuclear programme has resumed, warning that Tehran continues to pose a serious threat to Israel.
Netanyahu alleged that an Iranian news agency had published a video showing Iran’s leader ordering nuclear bombs to be launched at Israel. He said that although Iran’s government had been weakened, it could still attempt to inflict devastating damage as a last resort.
“We cannot live with a nuclear Iran,” Netanyahu said, adding that Israel would strike Iran again. Speaking ahead of elections, he also accused his political opponents of being unable to dismantle Iran’s nuclear programme.
