Reuters reports that Katie Zacharia has left her role as White House spokeswoman just five days after taking up the position.
US President Donald Trump said he had advised Zacharia to reconsider her role because of work-related pressures and public criticism. She began the job on Monday and held her first press briefing on Tuesday.
Zacharia acknowledged in an interview with Fox News on Thursday that she had failed the bar exam. Trump had previously described her as a lawyer when introducing her to the public.
