Iran Says US Military Casualties in Conflict Have Reached 838

Iranian media, citing figures released by the US Department of Defense, report that the number of US military personnel killed or wounded since the start of the conflict with Iran has reached 838.

Iran’s Tasnim news agency said 26 additional US service members had been added to the list of wounded, bringing the number of injured to 820. The reported death toll stands at 18.

However, The New York Times and some US media outlets have questioned the accuracy of the figures and called for greater transparency in the reporting of military casualties.
