US President Donald Trump says oil prices could fall sharply once the conflict with Iran ends and the United States emerges victorious.
Trump predicted that US gasoline prices could eventually fall below $2 a gallon, arguing that the end of the conflict would ease pressure on energy markets.
The comments come as oil prices remain elevated amid concerns over disruptions to supplies and shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude was trading near $97 a barrel on Tuesday.
