The Afghanistan Freedom Front has claimed that its forces repelled several attacks by Taliban fighters in Zebak district of Badakhshan province on Monday evening, In a statement, the front said that after pushing back the Taliban attacks, its fighters launched a counter-offensive from two directions, forcing Taliban forces to withdraw from the battlefield after suffering heavy casualties. According to the Freedom Front’s claim, five Taliban fighters were killed and four others were wounded in the clashes. The group also claimed that none of its fighters were harmed during the incident.
