In a post on X, Schumer said that “every second this war continues puts more American service members in danger.” He argued that prolonging the conflict would only increase the threat to US forces deployed across the region. Schumer also said Senate Democrats would push for another vote aimed at ending the military campaign and bringing US troops home. His remarks come as the United States has resumed military strikes against Iran since 7 July, triggering retaliatory Iranian attacks and escalating tensions across the Middle East, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz.
