US President Donald Trump says he has not yet decided whether to resume military strikes against Iran, adding that Tehran is seeking an agreement with Washington.
Trump said the possibility of reaching a deal with Iran remained open, amid ongoing efforts to reduce tensions between the two countries.
He also claimed that Iran wanted an agreement more than ever, suggesting that negotiations could still produce a positive outcome.
The remarks come as diplomatic efforts, including talks involving Qatari mediators, continue to explore ways of restarting negotiations between Washington and Tehran.
Trump has repeatedly insisted that Iran must not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons, while Iranian officials have said any agreement must take Tehran’s conditions into account.
