Faisal Karim Kundi, the governor of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, says the provincial government’s policy on Afghan refugees is in line with that of the federal government.
Speaking to the media, Kundi said no country allowed foreign nationals to remain illegally after their visas had expired.
He said people whose visas had expired could not legally continue living in Pakistan without valid documentation.
His remarks come as Pakistan continues its campaign to deport Afghan nationals living in the country without valid residency documents.
