At least 20 people have been killed in Russian drone and missile attacks across several parts of Ukraine, according to reports from Ukrainian authorities.
One of the deadliest incidents occurred in the city of Dnipro, where a Russian drone struck a railway platform, killing 14 people.
Ukrainian officials said other people were killed in attacks on the cities of Chernihiv and Kremenchuk. Residential areas and critical infrastructure were also damaged.
The attacks have drawn condemnation from European officials. The European Union criticised the deadly strike on the railway platform in Dnipro, describing it as a devastating attack.
The latest strikes come as diplomatic efforts to reduce hostilities between Russia and Ukraine continue. However, fighting has persisted across several parts of the country despite limited ceasefire arrangements in some areas.
Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. More than four years later, the war continues to cause widespread casualties, displacement and damage to civilian infrastructure.
