A protest convoy organised by Pakistan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has reached Charsadda from Peshawar and is expected to arrive in Swabi on 11 October.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has urged party supporters, in a post on his X account, to gather at the Swabi Interchange on 11 and 13 October, where the different convoys are expected to converge.
He said plans for the convoy’s next steps would be announced in Swabi.
The protest began in Lakki Marwat on 4 October, with participants heading towards Islamabad to demand the release of former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan.
