Zakeem Khan Wazir, a member of the central committee of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) and a human rights activist, has urged United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres to take seriously allegations of state violence, human rights violations against Pashtuns and the treatment of political prisoners.
In a post on X, Wazir called for the establishment of an independent, impartial and transparent commission to investigate the allegations and ensure justice and accountability for victims.
He also stressed that human rights, human dignity and the rule of law must be guaranteed for everyone.
