Iranian military spokesperson Mohammad Akbari-Nia says Tehran stopped its operations after the United States halted attacks over the past two nights, describing Iran’s recent actions as “retaliatory”. He said the US lacked a clear strategy and claimed Iran’s operations had focused on radar facilities and support centres to discourage further American attacks. The remarks come after reports that US President Donald Trump has, for now, decided against a wider military escalation against Iran, with concerns over reduced stocks of interceptor missiles among the factors cited.
