US President Donald Trump has said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will “under no circumstances” be arrested while visiting the United States. The statement came in response to remarks by New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who said his office was examining the possibility of arresting Netanyahu if he attends the United Nations General Assembly in New York in September. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that Netanyahu “will not be arrested in any way or under any circumstances” during his time in the United States. Trump also expressed support for Netanyahu’s actions against Iran, accusing the Iranian government of killing protesters and targeting US troops and others over recent decades.
