Russia says it came under one of the largest Ukrainian drone attacks since the start of the war, with Moscow claiming that Ukraine launched 370 drones towards Russian territory overnight. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said Russian air defence systems intercepted “most” of the drones before they reached the capital. He said 64 drones were destroyed as they approached Moscow, while the remaining aircraft were shot down farther away. No significant damage has been reported inside the city, according to Russian officials. In a separate drone strike, Russian authorities said seven people were killed at a logistics centre belonging to one of the country’s largest e-commerce companies. The attack is among the largest aerial assaults on Moscow since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, highlighting Kyiv’s growing ability to carry out long-range drone operations using large numbers of unmanned aircraft.
