Iran has once again warned that any Israeli attack on Lebanon would be regarded as a breach of the agreement reached between Tehran and Washington. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that from Tehran’s perspective, the parties to this agreement are, on one side, Iran and Hezbollah, and on the other, the United States and Israel. He emphasised that an end to the war in Lebanon is only possible with a complete halt to the occupation, and that any Israeli strike or military presence in occupied territories constitutes a violation of the accord. The remarks come as Israel said it had carried out strikes in response to armed individuals approaching its forces in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah, for its part, said it had fired rockets and drones at Israeli troops.
