Iran’s state television reported on Wednesday that at least eight people were killed and 36 others injured in a fire at a commercial centre near the capital, Tehran. The blaze broke out in the “Arghavan” shopping centre in Andisheh, in Tehran province. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and authorities say investigations are ongoing. State broadcaster IRIB said there are no indications the incident is linked to conflict, as a fragile ceasefire between Iran and the United States has been in place for the past three weeks.
