Syrian authorities have arrested Amjad Youssef, the main suspect in the 2013 Tadamon massacre in Damascus, Interior Minister Anas Khattab announced on Friday. The Ministry of Interior said the arrest followed days of surveillance and was carried out in the Sahl al-Ghab area of Hama province. Authorities confirmed that efforts are ongoing to detain other suspects. The Tadamon massacre, one of the most shocking incidents of the Syrian war, involved the execution of more than 280 civilians by forces linked to the former government.
